Service Description

Prosthetists need useful knowledge.

This annual membership includes twelve interactive, group, live industry think tanks for a yearly period from sign-up. All covering topics relevant to your daily treatments.

All free of corporate bias. The focus is on clinical, technical and management for Dental Prosthetists. Created for professionals on the front line.

Subjects vary monthly.

Members request. Experiences from multiple parties augments the live demonstrations.

First forum's will - order to be defined - involve live discussion of the following subject matter:

• Digital removable partial denture design. We unpack creating a metal partial denture using 3Shspe for laser sinter manufacture. Live demo.

• Full immediate denture treatment using IOS + digital design : patient management, transitional prosthetic, reline or remake? What does the evidence suggest regards patient experiences of digital versus analogue? Q & A from attendees.

• Flexible RPD design using free tooth libraries + experimentation using different resins / assembly types. Q & A from attendees.

• Challenging physiological & anatomical treatment scenarios: e.g. F/F exhibiting highly resorbed mandibular ridge. Impression techniques, occlusal schemes, evidence, documentation. Q & A from attendees.

What is the purpose of offering these online sessions? 

After many years on the bench, in the clinic and classroom including three years of Lecturer, Dental Prosthetists the passion and love for our profession exists across so many.

But patients can be challenging. Treatments have limitations. New digital technologies are developing at a rate-of-knots with a dazzling array of resins, printers, milling machines, scanner and software tools that is challenging to incorporate seamlessly. 

Most of our profession work hard in solo or small practices, geographically dispersed, commercially isolated.

Knowledge, community, sharing insights, identifying patterns, sharing of product knowledge in an unbiased and independent manner, these all helps to stimulate positive energy.

A community helps face these challenges. 

Live sessions are 90 minutes. The online events are held on the second tuesday of every month from 4:00pm - 5:30pm AEST (Brisbane, Queensland), (GMT+10) Australia/Brisbane). Enrollees will be provided with a Google Link and brief of content in advance.

1. One membership applies to one individual person. Duration is one calendar year. You can "Google meet"  to any session during active membership (contact administrator for group membership rates).

2. Sessions cover a huge range of topics. Information is shared collaboratively across technology, geography and communities. Legislation varies between countries, states and governing bodies. Attendees need to be aware of what's permissible where they practice. Apply teachings at your discretion.

3. Participation is encouraged but no grumps! This community is for positive professionals to embrace life-long-learning. Respectful dialogue is encouraged. Hecklers will be kicked off!

4. Occasionally a scheduled session will need to be rescheduled at short notice. Your understanding is appreciated..
